体育足球比分With a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from St. John Fisher College, you will be able to converse fluently, and meaningfully, in one of the most widely spoken languages in the world.
体育足球比分As a Spanish major in Fisher's modern languages and cultures program, you are introduced to cultural and literary analysis using primary texts, secondary literature, and computerized data resources. What's more, you'll benefit from individualized attention and a high level of participation, made possible by small class size and dedicated faculty.
Spanish is available as a major and an individual minor, and as part of a minor in dual languages.
The Spanish major includes two foundation language courses, two courses in communication and culture, and five advanced language and culture courses. The program culminates in a senior capstone project and a seminar on Hispanic studies.
Introductory courses are designed to awaken your awareness to the language itself, developing basic skills in vocabulary, grammar, reading analysis, and cultural awareness. Upper-level courses explore the historical and critical background in Spanish literature and culture, while also helping you develop your analytical and research skills.
As a Spanish major, you are encouraged to complete at least one semester abroad—although a full year is highly recommended—as a way to immerse yourself in the language and culture.
