Freshman Scholarships

体育足球比分St. John Fisher College offers a generous program of scholarships designed to recognize and reward you for the special talents you bring to campus.

First Generation Scholarship

The First Generation Scholarship provides financial and academic assistance to students with a high degree of motivation and academic potential whose parents did not graduate from college. Recipients receive yearly awards of one-half the total cost of tuition and room and board.

Fisher Urban Scholar Award

Beginning in fall 2020, the award, which pledges $40,000 per student体育足球比分 over the course of four years, will be available to any high school student who resides in the City of Rochester and enrolls at Fisher. The award may be combined with any other scholarships for which a student qualifies.

Flower City Award

All out-of-state students, as well as students from Nassau and Suffolk counties, will automatically receive a Flower City Award of $5,000 per year. This award may be combined with any other scholarships for which a student qualifies.

Foreign Language Scholarship

Foreign Language Scholarships are available to high school seniors with proficiency in French or Spanish. Recipients receive $3,000 per year.

Honors Program

The Honors Program provides students with the opportunity to expand their thinking and personal limits through the study and exchange of ideas with other scholars. Honors students receive a $8,000 scholarship over four years ($2,000/year).

Legacy Award

Students with a parent or sibling who is currently enrolled full-time, or who is a graduate of the College, will automatically receive a Legacy Award of $1,000 per year. This award may be combined with any other scholarships for which a student qualifies.

Service Scholars Program

The Service Scholars Program recognizes high school seniors who demonstrate an ongoing interest in serving others through community service. Recipients receive yearly awards equaling one-half the total cost of tuition and room and board.

Merit Scholarships

All freshman applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships without regard to financial eligibility. Most merit scholarships range from $5,000 to $17,000 per year.

体育足球比分Scholarship eligibility is based on high school grade point average, strength of curriculum, and SAT or ACT scores. Eligible students are automatically notified by the Office of Admissions. Merit awards can not be combined with the Service Scholars and First Generation Scholarships.

Note: Fisher is test-optional for fall 2021 and fall 2022.
